Mahjong 3D is a highly challenging Mahjong game in which you need to match identical cubes within the given time limit to clear the board and win. The levels keep getting more complicated as more tiles get introduced, which adds to the challenge.

Mahjong 3D Game Tiles

What’s different about Mahjong 3D is that the game is entirely 3D – you’re not playing on a gameboard as much as a floating cube in the air. To match them, you must navigate through the cube and find available identical tiles.

Mahjong through a different perspective

The uniqueness of Mahjong 3D comes from how you have to navigate the board – by using your mouse to move its 3D perspective around and find the tiles you have to match. You can do so by either clicking the two arrows positioned below the gameboard. Another option is to click and drag to move the gameboard around.

Mahjong 3D How to Move the Gameboard

You can’t match all tiles that you spot – similar to some 2D Mahjong games, in Mahjong 3D, the tiles must have at least two adjacent sides open to count as a movable piece. This only counts for the sides that have the tile image on them, so their upper and lower sides don’t count towards being open. A good piece of advice is to look for the “corner” pieces to match.

Mahjong 3D Timer

Each level also features a timer that you have to beat to win. The timer gets shorter as you progress through the levels, and at the same time, the tile arrangements get bigger and more complicated. To help you out, you have a limited amount of hints and board shuffles you can use. There’s no penalty for using these. Using them wisely is essential – once they’re exhausted, they’re gone, and you have no other form of help left.

Mahjong 3D is a great test of your Mahjong-solving abilities. If you want to learn more about the game, you can check out our main game page for Mahjong, which features some great tips and tricks.
