Mahjong Around the World: Africa is an engaging adventure game of Mahjong where you play a variety of gameboards to try and beat the unique tile arrangements. The game features different designs on all of its gameboards, with them symbolizing animals from the African continent.
It’s also one of the more challenging Mahjong games, as you have a limited number of helpful tools, a tricky time limit, and a lot of unique tiles that you need to match. Each board requires its own unique strategy; the game will test your skills even if you’re a seasoned player.
Clearing the Complicated Boards
Every level in Mahjong Around the World: Africa uses a unique arrangement, with it being inspired by the shape of the animal that it represents. You need to clear the tiles by matching identical pieces that are available for play.
You can only use topmost tiles that can be moved to the left or right. The available tiles are highlighted, which makes planning a bit easier.
You also have to beat every level within the given time limit. Every level has a yellow bar to the left that indicates how much time you have to clear the board. If you fail to beat the timer, you lose.
Helpful Tools That You Can Use
Mahjong Around the World: Africa has some tools you can use whenever you’re struggling, but keep in mind that they have limited uses per level. The game has a “Hint” button that will show you a match on the board and a “Shuffle” feature that will rearrange the available tiles on the board. You only get 5 uses of both per game.
There are also some statistics boxes that can help you keep track of your performance. The game will show you how many tiles are left on the board and how many viable moves you can make.
