Bubble Shooter is one of the most beloved classic games, with many people still playing it to this day. It’s a very simple and straightforward game at first glance, which could easily make you think it’s an easy game. The thing is, there is more to it than what meets the eye. There are a few essential tricks that you need to use to get high scores in Bubble Shooter. If you don’t use them, you could easily end up losing game after game quickly.

It’s hard to explain why the game is so addictive, considering how simple it looks. Considering that it has a challenging aspect, you need to be an experienced player or use know-how to increase your scores and have a higher chance of winning.

Let’s take a look at 8 tricks that will make you a better Bubble Shooter player.

Managing Hanging Clusters

The goal of Bubble Shooter is to clear as many bubbles as possible. One of the best ways to do this is by either directly shooting and popping small clusters of bubbles or cutting their connection to the puzzle.

If bubbles aren’t attached to a puzzle, they fall down and explode, which also gives you a bigger score modifier. Removing large clusters of bubbles by removing their connection is one of the best ways to manage the puzzle.

Use Walls to Increase Your Range

Some players may not know this, but if you shoot towards a wall, your shot will bounce off of it and change its trajectory. You can use this mechanic to hit hard-to-reach bubbles.

Many versions of Bubble Shooter will show you how the trajectory changes whenever you hit the wall. Pay attention to bubbles all over the map and try and use the walls to remove clusters.

Keep the Walls Clear

Since you can use the walls to bounce your bubbles to harder-to-reach places, it’s essential to keep the walls clear of any bubbles.

Clearing the lateral bubbles first can be a great way to start the game successfully and reach higher bubbles quickly. If you keep clearing the bubbles on the side, you will end up with large clusters in the center. You can easily remove these clusters by severing their connection to the puzzle.

Aim for Bigger Groups

Removing large clusters of bubbles is one of the best ways to manage the puzzle and get score modifiers. If several bubbles of the same color are connected, you can use one shot to destroy all of them.

Clearing a larger cluster of bubbles means that you can create bigger pathways for your shots and gain access to the upper parts of the puzzles. You can also use this technique to remove the connections of clusters in the lower parts.

Clear a Path

As your ammunition is sometimes limited and as bubbles come closer to you, you need to make every shot count. You need to pop as many bubbles as you can with every shot so that you get a higher score.

When you start the game, you should identify a larger cluster of bubbles higher up the puzzle and begin clearing a path towards it so that you can deconstruct the large groups.

Don’t Forget to Switch Colors

If you’re struggling to find a cluster that matches the color of your shot, don’t hesitate to switch the color of your shot to the next one.

Many players forget to do this, and this feature can be very helpful.

Try Not to Stack

Sometimes you might end up switching ammunition while waiting for the right color. A good tip for whenever this happens is to spread your shots to different parts of the puzzle; don’t stack mismatching bubbles all in the same place.

Stacking is a bad idea because you will lose if your puzzle touches the bottom bar and you create a vertical bubble wall in the puzzle, which could block your shots.

Create Easily Destroyable Clusters

As already mentioned, you should spread bubbles that you use as “wasted” shots. You can also use these bubbles as valuable assets.

If you attach these bubbles to a cluster that you’re going to remove by severing its connection, you will gain additional points, thanks to the unwanted bubbles.
