Mahjong Alchemy is one of the most diverse and engaging Mahjong games on the internet. The game features tens of different boards that all have an arcade-style level system. Each board is inspired by a Japanese element, and its board arrangements follow a similar pattern to that style.

Mahjong Alchemy Shop

The game features a currency system, with you earning gold and green coins for your performance during your playthrough. You can use the gold coins in the in-game shop to buy visual rewards to customize your game. You also use the green coins for the game’s helpful tools.

Plan Ahead

Alchemy uses the classic Mahjong rules where you need to match identical tiles. Each stage has different board arrangements for its levels. The levels have more tiles with each consecutive one and thus get progressively more challenging.

Mahjong Alchemy Coins

You get bonus points for matching tiles consecutively, meaning that the game rewards you for playing smart. The more tiles on the board, the more gold coins you can earn. You earn 1 green coin per tile match, regardless of speed.

Choosing one stage and playing it as far as you can go is a good choice to get as many coins as possible. If you end up with no matches, you automatically win the level and get 50 gold coins.

Don’t Overuse the Tools

You can spend the coins you earn in the in-game shop to buy cosmetic rewards, but there’s also another use for green coins.

Mahjong Alchemy Tools

The game’s “Hint” and “Shuffle” buttons cost green coins to use. Every “Hint” will set you back 3 coins, and every “Shuffle” will set you back 5 coins. You should use these features only if you’re stuck and can’t find any matches on your own. You can also try and play another stage if you get stuck instead of spending coins.

Mahjong Alchemy is an engaging and fun game, but you need to be good at Mahjong to get far. If you want to learn all the tips and tricks that the pros use, check out our main game page for Mahjong!
