Virus Mahjong Connect is an animated online game in which you connect identical tiles by creating a line between them. The game plays with an arcade-style level system where you progress level by level, and if you lose, you restart from level 1.

Virus Mahjong Connect Arrangement

There are differing challenges as you play – increasing tile complexity, decreasing timer, new tiles getting added. There also are some helpful mechanics that you can use to balance the challenge.
Your goal is to match as many tiles as possible to beat each level.

How to match the tiles

There are conditions to making matches. Even if two tiles are identical, you need to be able to draw a line between them. There must be no obstacles between them for that to happen.
Lines can only turn horizontally and vertically as well, so you can’t make diagonal matches. They can only change their path to up to 180 degrees.

As you progress through the levels, the gameboard arrangements will become more complex. The number of tiles on the board increases and more unique tiles get added for you to match. Additionally, more than two of the same type of tile can exist on the board, meaning that you have to plan how to make multiple connections of the same type.

Dealing with the timer

You also have an increasingly challenging time limit to deal with as you play. Once you get into the double-digit levels, your time will drastically start decreasing with every level. The less time you have, the more pressure there is to solve the puzzle.

Using the helpful mechanics the game offers becomes necessary once you reach this stage. The Hint button and the Shuffle button are there to increase your chances of winning. You have only five uses of each of them for every level.
