Zombie Pacman is a unique and innovative rendition of Pac-Man. You play the same way as you would regular Pac-Man – you move through a maze, and your aim is to collect all the pellets. What’s different is how the game looks.

Zombie Pacman uses 3D graphics and an alternate angle. First of all, you’re watching your character from above, but from a very zoomed-in angle. Combined with the 3D aspect, you only ever see about 1/3rd of the map. The other substantial difference is the graphics themselves. You play as a human, in a maze, being chased by zombies.

Being careful is a necessity

Just like in regular Pacman, you only have 3 lives. Because of the limiting came angle, being careful is much more vital to you surviving. As you only see a part of the map, you’re never fully aware of where a zombie might jump out. Additionally, due to how you control your character, the zombies seem much faster than the ghosts in regular Pac-Man.

Because of these demanding conditions, you need to execute your movements with great care and precision. You should always scan your immediate surroundings when moving, and you should avoid moving in the same section for too long.

Zombie Pacman Power-up

Your biggest weapon in Zombie Pacman is the 4 brains located in each corner of the map. These brains replace the power pellets from traditional Pac-Man. When you use a brain, you turn into a zombie, and the zombies turn into humans. What you should keep in mind is that there is no warning that the brain pellet is about to expire. Because of this, you might accidentally end up running face-first into a zombie. A good piece of advice is to use the brain pellet to scatter the zombies and run away from them.

When you beat a level in Zombie Pacman, you progress to the next one. If you die three times, it’s game over.
